Brierley Ace '50's Special Stratocaster Set. These are Mick's take on mid '50's vintage strat. Staggered alnico 5 magnets, heavy Formvar wire, with the bridge wound a bit hotter and the middle reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4. Fibre flatwork is used and the assembled bobbins are dipped in nitro lacquer - just like the originals. The pickups are hand scatter wound and the completed pickups are wax potted in a paraffin wax/beeswax mix. Set comes complete with screws and 'springs'. These are our top selling Strat set.

These pickups are based on early 50's Blackguard Tele specs, Alnico 3 bridge pickup wound to approx 6.9k with 42 Plain Enamel wire, neck is Alnico 5 and around the same DCR wound with 43 Plain Enamel wire , comes with a chrome (or an unplated cover to order) on the neck pickup, bridge is reverse wound for hum cancelling. The pickups are hand scatter wound and the completed pickups are wax potted in a paraffin wax/beeswax mix. Set comes complete with screws and springs.

Brierley '50's Vintage Style Dogear. Mick's classic vintage output dogear P-90's. Hand wound with plain enamel wire and using sand cast Alnico 3 magnets, mounted on a nickel silver dogear baseplate.

Brierley '50's Humbucker Set. Mick's moderate output version of the classic PAF set. The deliberately mismatched coils are wound with vintage type plain enamel wire and the long alnico magnet that's used in these pickups is custom made to Mick's specs. and is based on a vintage formula. 5-40 nickel plated fillister head screws are used, as are vintage type long leg nickel silver bases, wooden spacers, custom machined pole shoes and custom made slugs.
